“We Live in Worrying Times” Art Competition and Art Exhibition 2021

‘We Live in Worrying Times, is the ongoing art competition and art show - OPEN CALL by
Art4you Gallery, brings a new body of work themed around concern for the state of the world.

Introduce your work to the world. Enter the most prestigious competition for creativity in this Competition.

Each winning entrant will receive a personalized Award of Excellence, and award certificates issued from the organizers.

Content:
The art pieces we are looking for that explores subject matter and techniques that feel both familiar and radically different, somewhere between the dream-like and profoundly introspective. Displaced figures rove across empty landscapes blasted by war, the COVID-19 pandemic, or ecological crisis; planes and drones haunt the skies above; and dense crowds of closely cropped portraits, a host of assorted refugees, travelers, orphans, ‘unfortunates’, and the crisis faced by the world.

Rules:
Since this is a very formal event organized, there are several hard and fast rules that all participants must follow.
• This competition is open for all artists from any part of the globe where a jury of designated individuals scrutinize and select the best artworks. All the entries are judged by the jury based on artistic merit, design, technical excellence, content, originality, and solution of the theme.
• You can send as many entries as possible – may be series or connected pieces or single piece with a story behind.
• No copyrighted imagery will be allowed. All participants can provide artworks for any type namely: Book, Advertising, Institutional, Surface or Product design, Editorial, and Uncommission, using any mediums - watercolors, acrylics, pencil and oil pastel, artists work spans a variety of moods and scale in ‘Black and White’.
• Minimal use of text can be allowed. All submissions are to be done online. The work needs to be in PAPER with a minimum size of A4 and Max size of A2.
• Selected by a representative jury of distinguished designers, art directors and illustrators, the elected and winning entries will be exhibited in a venue space, also in art4you magazine in print and digital editions, and assuring important exposure to the creators of this outstanding work. As a service to art directors, designers and art buyers, a comprehensive index will carry contact information of the illustrators represented.

Notification of Acceptance:
Only accepted entrants will be notified after the final deadline date due to the number of entries we receive. The artwork will have to be send to venue for display or email scanned image to us and will not be returned.

The plan is to execute a large mural long painting that connects each work of art, which will be exhibited in an art space that will sentiment to present day. The artist will get full credit through the exposure we will give them through press and media coverage.

The winners will be announced on July 30th through social media platforms and intimated through email and the exhibition physically is planned to open officially in the month of August 2021, which will be announced later. Also the finalists entries will be posted in facebook and instagram pages.
